Hello, hello, and welcome to the Big Bold Faith Podcast, a podcast dedicated to getting real, bold, and honest when it comes to living and fighting for your everyday faith. My name is Brittany Durfee, and I am your host. Um, I'm excited to be here today. I hope that you are excited. So many wonderful things happening in the season, but first I want to recognize you where you are in the season as God has called you, as God has chosen you, as God loves you. Every part of God being God is just such a wonderful blessing. And I think a lot of us take that for granted. But I want to recognize you, whether it's hardship, whether it's a situation that you're in, whatever it is, um, today's the day that the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it, respite our circumstances and our situations today. So so happy for you to be here. If you do not know, and now you know, here we go. Um, we have video today. We have video. This is a new day. This is uh kind of weird for me because I'm not used to kind of being in the flesh, being hello, showcasing my beautiful home that the Lord has blessed me with. Um, and we're doing something new in this season. We're doing a new thing. So many um wonderful things God is just transitioning in in the season. And I'm grateful for it. I'm grateful that I have my faith. I'm grateful for people that push me, that are my destiny helpers, that are like, girl, let's go, let's do a new thing in this season. And just appreciative for every single one of you guys that continue to encourage me, continue to pray for me, continue to hold me down because without prayer, where would we be? Um, is a is a whole thing out there. So I'm excited for today's episode because it is near and dear to me and something that I think that I should be speaking on more often. So we'll try to do more of it. But before we jump into that, I wanted to share a couple of different things because before we get into all of the the, you know, you came here for knowledge, for word of knowledge, wisdom, counsel, just to hear something outside of the noise that's happening in the world today. Um, first thing I want to say is that God just dropped this beautiful thing in my life and in my heart today. I have been following the Lord for a little, for a little bit of time, and I like to share these seeds, as I call them, because I don't believe in gems, even though Solomon and all of his glory had certain gems for the temple. Uh but I'm gonna be a Bible nerd, y'all. Look, y'all gonna have to deal with me and all of my isms talking about the Bible because I wanted to meditate on my heart day and night. So y'all gonna get this word whenever I remember. I'm gonna go back to the word. But I don't say gems, I say seeds because I believe in seeds and returning and fruit, all of the things. But outside of that, God really kind of gave me this revelation this morning while I was prayer in the early parts of this morning and just kind of talking about um your character per se. And my mentor, shout out to you, uh, has been trying to get this in my little bitty cat for the last like year and a half or two. And she's asked me this question, and I want to ask this question to you of essentially knowing who you are. And she's always asked me this. And when I think and I meditate on it, it's been always very difficult for me to respond to because when I think about myself, I don't think of myself with that same like ideal or magnitude that people think of me. So, uh, case in point, a lot of people would be like, oh, you're a prayer warrior or whatnot, right? And when I hear that, I get very much insecure in it because I'm like, oh, okay, like I'm not insert your favorite high, worthy person that's 40 years older than me, prayer warrior. And instantly I'm comparing myself. And I also don't want to boast in that moment either, to be like, I'm a prayer warrior. I, you know, there's a lot of people out here claiming that they're prophets and prophetess. Um, and that's just not something I want to be in this season. Um, I want people to know me by my fruit and not by my title. And so much of that is weighted on a responsibility that I hold gravely when you are a prayer warrior, when you're interceding for people, when you're standing in the gap, it's not an easy feat, nor does the responsibility come without its own form of attacks, nor knowledge of understanding what it is that God is calling and willing for the earth to be done. If we look at the whole book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah wasn't out here with the prophet saying that there's going to be peace in the land, yet he interceded and he was a prophet, talking about the mere opposite. And so, back to the original question of what my mentor kind of gave me was like, hey, who are you? Who has God called you to be? And for the longest, I could not understand. I was like, girl, why are you asking me these questions? What does it have to do with? And I heard it so clearly in uh during one of my prayer calls this morning, which was just beautiful, of understanding who you are. And when you understand who you are, you're able to have this confidence in who God has called you. And then when the enemy attacks, essentially you have that confidence. So if someone were to come to me and say, Oh, your name is not Britney, I'd be like, What are you talking about? My name's not Britney. My name is Britney. I have receipts. I've got a birth certificate, I got my fingerprints, I got my baby pictures, and all of that to serve as proof. And so when God has called you to become something and he's called us as his chosen, he's called us as the apple of his eye, he's called us as sons and daughters of the most high God, when you have that information and that confidence, or you understand that God has called you to be a leader, or he's called you to be an entrepreneur, he's called you to be that mother. And when someone gets out of um, I don't know, out here acting crazy, saying things against the nature of who God created you to be, wonderfully and beautifully and complex, made in your mother's womb, you can go back confidently and say, no, but my God says something different. The word of God says this. God gave me this dream on October 1st of 2020. And you have that to relay on. And that's where your authority comes in, which I think is so important when we think about authority, when we think about God saying, you know, you're able to believe and be able to cast out demons. That's in Mark 16 that says those who believe will be able to do these things of being able to lay hands on the sick and heal. But you have to understand where your authority comes from. You have to understand when you're going out and you're speaking to that spirit of divination that's bothering you, Paul, that you understand that God gave you the power to be able to go into nations in all of the places of the world to proclaim the gospel and to be able to speak out those things. And so when us as believers are able to understand what it is in our identity in Christ, which is the very thing that the enemy is out to get, he's there to kill, still, and destroy that very thing because he hopes that he's able to use that thing as a child that you went through to be able to cause a stronghold, to cause confusion, to cause a diversion of understanding that you're more than that, than that moment, than that situation. And that when you understand and when you're able to move past that mindset of yours that holds you back, that bondage of Egypt, that you would be so much freer to be able to take over the land, to be able to do all of the works that God has called you to do. That's not only for our glory, it's for the Lord's glory. And so with all of that, I would ask and impose the same question for you to say, what has God called you? Who has called God called you to be in this season? And I don't have the answer just yet. I just had the revelation this morning. I'm dropping seeds this morning as I get them. And with that, I will go back into meditation and go back and comb through the journals and prayers and the things that God has revealed to me in a secret place. And what I will do, and what I'm planning to do, is to continue to first um put those things in motion, right? It's great to have these beautiful prophetic messages and confirmation from God, right? Um, Thessalonians 5, 19 says not to scoff at prophecy, um, but we flee from evil. So bring every prophecy back to God and ask him for confirmation. And once you receive that confirmation of what it is that God has called you to do and the places and the things that he's called you to do, then from there uh we put them in motion in some form or fashion. And it can be small, it could be big. God could tell you, hey, start saving for that down payment because I want to buy this house. I want you to buy this building, I want you to buy this thing. And it may look like a penny a day, but we are able to steward while we wait in this season. And I think that that's so important. And so you take all the things that God has told you to do, you put them in motion when it comes to stewarding it. And then um further, you have the authority of knowing that when the enemy comes, not if, when he comes and he comes against your ministry, he comes against the word, he comes to kill still destroy like the the lion that he is, um, that you have something to back your word on to say, mm-mm, nah, you playing yourself, enemy, like it's not me. It's not me. So that is the first gem that I wanted to drop. Second thing that I want to share with is if you're in the DC area, the DMV on the East Coast, uh, because your girl's on the West Coast, but if you're on the East Coast, I had the most amazing experience a couple of weeks ago. I went to the Bible museum. I didn't go last year and I was so upset. But this year, your girl made time. It was a phenomenal experience. The first thing I would say is that I would go with the guided tour. If you're going, go on a guided tour. I did not get a chance to, and I had like three hours, and I probably would have had someone like walk me through where I needed to be because I was just on every and any type of floor. Like I was on the floor with all the Bibles and the King James, and I was like, how did I get here? And then I went into this other place and I was like, okay, how is the math, you know, mathing? And so I would have liked a better curated and cultivated type of experience and tour for me. The second thing I would say at the Bible Museum, I'm trying not to, I'm trying to figure out if I'm gonna give it away or not. They have this immersive experience and it's phenomenal. I need to do more research in it, but I think it's on the second or third floor. And man, I wish I wouldn't remember what it is. But it's this immersive experience that walks you through like the first half of the Bible, I think to the book of Ruth or Ezra. I think it's Ezra that it goes up to. And you get into this room, I'm really trying not to give it away, but I might give it away because it's amazing. And I'm a like production nerd. And so anything that sounds good and visually looks good, especially with uh light projecting and technology, I'm just geeking all the way, especially when it's done really well. And I'm like, ooh, yes, the Bible doesn't have to be boring. When you get into the room, it's like, oh, I'm trying not to give it away. It tells the Bible and it like light projects on the wall, and then there's like this amaze, I'm really not trying to give it away. So if you're going, go, I'm not gonna give it away. But like doors be opening and you have to like walk through the Bible. I don't know why I'm telling it to you guys as a secret, but essentially you walk through the Bible and it's just phenomenal. Like you're literally walking through the Bible. So that's all that I'm gonna say. Anyone else, you just have to figure it out. But I had the most incredible time um a few weeks ago when I was in DC walking the streets. Um, and of course, God was just talking to me, um, which is why I tell people it's so important to take a Sabbath. Your Sabbath does not have to look like you sleeping on the couch watching uh 59, 11 episodes of Star Trek Discovery. It doesn't have to look like anything. You could go to the museum with a God, it does not have to be the Bible museum, it could be an art museum, it could be your painting in the park. And I think that God, like so speaks, is waiting for those moments and those still moments because he is the creator of all things to just get it, to just be in intimacy, engage, like just hang out with him, kiki with him, have some tea with him, have some, you know, all of the things. Those are kind of my top two things today before we jump into today's episode. And y'all, whoof, uh, I'm excited about it. I'm excited about it. If you're a business owner or an entrepreneur, this is for you. And if you're not, I still employ you to listen to it to be able to pass on to someone else because there's just this shift that's happening that God has been kind of showing me lately that He's been calling his people more so into the vein of entrepreneurship. And for me, that's exciting. Um, and a lot of people keep kind of knocking on my door, and I'm like, I'm not ready yet. And God's like, Yes, you are. You're ready, my daughter. This goes back to knowing your authority and knowing who you are and knowing what God has called you to do and the mantle that God has given you. But we're right here in the episode. So uh we will we will further have consideration about that later uh this week. But um, this thing about entrepreneurship, I know that I'm gonna kind of give some words of wisdom and guidance, and then I'll jump into kind of what God has shared me. And so this will kind of be a probably a multiple episode or series of sorts, just as far as like guiding points, because it can be very scary. And so just to talk a little bit about my story, um, I grew up in um, I grew up not knowing entrepreneurship, right? So when I got when I got out of school, actually, um, my first um, what was it? Internship. There it is. Internship was in events. So I did event planning. I was at some organization doing the events, and I was like, yo, this is really dope. Now, mind you, this was like the last year, senior year, and I was like, I'm not going back to school for event planning. Like, God, you're gonna have to make it make sense. I had a very close friend of mine's that is essentially like basically family. And he was like, Hey, I have an opportunity for you, but it's an internship. And so you just got to make your way here. And I got there, and during that moment, I was the information girl. I consumed everything. It was this 10,000-person event, and I knew where every bathroom, where every meeting, wherever breakout session was, what you needed to know, the Wi-Fi password. I was that chick. I don't say that boastfully, but I just was like, okay, this is what I'm gonna do. Let me do it well. We're gonna touch on that in a minute. And out of that moment, God just continued to open doors for me in such a way. I remember first doing events and thinking, okay, God, like I have to have a corporate job. Like that's that's what society is. Like, let me be an event planner, let me be. There were so many doors that I knocked on that I was qualified for that nobody called me back for. Like, I remember getting so high up into meetings, and people were like, Yeah, we're gonna just go with the other person because they've worked here longer, but you're still qualified. And I was just like, What? What is going on? A lot of that left me like confused because at that point, entrepreneurship wasn't a thing. You were essentially, they would call it like you were freelancing. Okay, can we just talk? Who came up with that word? Like, it sounds like you're just like a free rider, like you just free, like free-fallen, free rider, just over here, just just taking up all the free free freelancer, like what? And it was not a popular thing. It was like, oh, you ain't got no job. That's what that is. You have no job. It was hard to navigate because nobody in my business comes from a business, um, um, like entrepreneurial spirit, nor was anyone working for themselves. And so, really, for me to create and curate what that experience looked like was me learning on the fly and trusting in God. Through all of that, I think that I've I've learned a lot and I have so much more to learn. Because when you're an entrepreneur, essentially you're learning as you go. The biggest thing that I will tell every entrepreneur that I know is if you thought you believed in God once before, working out your faith in your salvation when it comes to work and not depending on a paycheck, not depending on uh uh what is it, medical care or being able to have a 401k and that being consistent every single month is the greatest level of faith that I can say that I have. Um, if nothing else, if nothing else has tested me, it has been, okay, God, we're operating in this once again, this month, this somebody hasn't called me, somebody hasn't done this. I I I can tell you how many times I've tried to go to networking events and I've tried to make myself known. And God has not even, God, God has not even allowed people to even look two seconds at me again. And then I'm looking like, okay, y'all, y'all not gonna call me, y'all not gonna email me, I'm not even interested. And the the the biggest thing that I will say that has happened is I've I've learned you as an entrepreneur, you have to go through the very things that you don't want to go through. I know that there's books, I know that there's people out here selling uh courses, I know that there's people out here trying to convey to you guys that hey, I've got the magic secret. I'm gonna say magic. I have the magic secret to be able to give you that five, six, or seven figure type of finances. And what I'm going to say, which other people will not say, is that the business, first off, isn't just for yourself. God has a greater purpose for what he's called you to do. And that calling is so that he can make his name known in certain places and industry in dark spaces. Second, what we're doing by trying to um entice people to be able to be entrepreneurs is the same way that people are doing the prosperity gospel when they tell the partial way of the cross and not the other heart, uh other part of the cross where God has died for us, that there's a repentance, that there is a cost for being a believer. There is a cost to being an entrepreneur. There will be places that you have to go that you do not want to go. There will be clients that you tell them no. There will be, um, there will be 30, 40,$50,000, million dollar con contracts that you will have to say, you know what, this is a real good deal. And my values don't align with this. And I'm going to say respectfully no. But no, nobody's saying that. So in this series, we're going to talk about all of that. I'm going to bring some stories to the table of some things I haven't shared yet. But I also want to employ you that as you're doing this journey, that you be wise and discerning, because as God is opening this uh new opportunities for his children to go into dark places, which I think God wants to take back everything that obviously is originally his. Every massage parlor, every nail salon, every workout place that's playing the ratchetest of music out here, um, every doctor's office, every place that he would like to be, which is everywhere because he's omni omnipresent, omnipotent, like God, God is that God. He's calling his children to go back into those places, but we cannot be um deceived into thinking it's just about the bag. Because when you think about it's just the bag, then it goes back to the enemy. And so so many people fall in that mindset of thinking, God called me to this thing. And then what you end up doing is that you end up surrendering the very ministries that God has called you to do. You don't take a Sabbath, you don't worry about your family, you don't worry about your friends, you don't worry about your kids. Instead, you put all of your effort into it. And so what the enemy decides to do is then keep you in this perpetual cycle of continuously um being about the bag, not time management. You putting all this additional stress on yourself, and what you end up becoming is you become an entrepreneur of the world, not a kingdompreneur. And when I say kingdompreneur, I say kingdompreneur in a light of that you are going after the very thing that God has called you, um, God has called you to do. So when uh there's a complete difference when it comes to kingdompreneur and entrepreneurship, and so I just want to kind of share these um two images per se. And so you let me know which one feels like it because entrepreneurship may not be your portion in this season. Can we can we be a keep it a book? You may be seeing everyone else being an entrepreneur. You're like, oh, I want that life. I want freedom. I wanna work from home, I want to do my own thing, I wanna charge my own thing. I I wanna I wanna you hear it? I wanna. I wanna sound like pride. I wanna sound like selfish ambition, I wanna sound like it's all about you, and it's not. When we walk out this life, when we do the very things that God has called you to do, God might be keeping you at that job for a reason. Like He needs people in the corporate space too, y'all. Like, not everybody's gonna leave corporate to go to entrepreneurship. And let me tell you, entrepreneurship is hard, it's difficult, it's challenging. You have to be your own boss, you have to wake up, you have to have stewardship, you have to have discipline, you got to know how to make the money. You don't need to know how to budget the money, you need to know how to give the money, you need to know contracts and all of the things. But there's also a rest and peace that's in it when we're following God, that He makes and He opens doors that no man can close. And so, um, as a kingdompreneur, let me share this. You're always on assignment. Let me say that again. You're always on assignment. God has called you into a place specifically for me. I'm always on the road. And with that, I have to be keen and aware for many things. One, as I'm traveling, even I'm getting on a plane tomorrow. I know that I need to pray in the morning to say, God, give me the ability to be able to spread your word. Maybe it's the person sitting next to me, maybe it's someone that I get there. I'm always on assignment. Even I'm in, even though I'm in a um, even though we're in a dark world and not everyone believes. And so many of us would probably be like, oh, I want to be in this industry or I want to work by myself. God might call you into like the movie industry or the music industry or something very dark that you're like, God, I didn't, I I don't think I was gonna be here. And you be the only light in the room. You be the only candle in the room. I wish I could turn off all of the lights and have a single candle and be like, that's how you feel sometimes. You feel like you're the only light, but it's God that's igniting your light to be able to shine your light for all to see, right? It talks about it in Matthew. Like you are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden, right? We are the salt of the earth. Let us not, let us not be unsalty. Let's always carry our light and our salt wherever we go. So that's the first thing. You're always on assignment, you do not get any days off. You need to be uh fully equipped and prepared, both in your prayer life and in understanding what God has for you and what God has not for you, right? Not every opportunity, not every door. Uh, so many times when I used to get opportunities, I'd just be like, yes, yes, it came from God. Nah, I had to start discerning. I had to start giving myself guidelines and values in certain things that I would say yes to and some things I will say no. So I'm always first off, when when presented with an opportunity, I'll get to the list in a minute. But um, whenever I'm presented with an opportunity, the first thing I do, and even before I get the opportunity, is I'm always praying, God, give me discernment, give me the ability to hear, let me know what opportunities I should take, what people I should yoke with in partnership. Because what I don't want to do, which I have done before, is I've yoked with people that it was a sweet deal. And a lot of the things that I believe in and values and the way that they had operated and the way that their words had conspired against other people, which I'm sure was conspiring against myself, didn't align with what I wanted to be. In Psalms 1, it says, do not sit in the council of the wicked. And so I don't believe that you have to run around, run away from every person that doesn't call themselves a believer. And I also understand the environment and the experiences that I am in. And I was like, oh yeah, this is not it. And when I end up doing this, I finished the project out. That's what we did first. And then I respectfully uh revoked my agreement with them and I said, Hey, it was nice doing business with you, but I no longer can work with you guys. Please don't reach out to me, essentially. And it was like the greatest, there was there was such a heaviness that came from it, but there was also a freedom that God was like, okay, I can trust you because I know that you're not gonna just do it for the money. I know that you're not gonna do it just for another business deal. I know that you're not going to do this. And so when I say you're always on assignment, not only are you only on assignment to be able to spread the good news and the value, but you're also supposed to be just just very discerning. And when you wake up in the morning, when you're praying, when you get a deal, take that back to the Lord and be like, God, this looks so good. What is this company about? What am I giving up? What is my values? Second thing on the Kingdom Prayer list is you must always carry light. You gotta be light. You've gotta be light, which means what? You've got to check that stank attitude about you. Yes, that stank attitude. Like we go into places, we think that we're higher than we are. We have to be under submission of certain people. We have to be able to discern and understand the times, when to speak up, when to not speak up, when to uh be of wise counsel. People are always checking for you. And if you think that I'm lying, I have so many receipts of people. Uh, two things, and this is not to be boastful, but this is like what I've been given as far as feedback goes. One, I've had people walk up to me and be like, There's just something about your energy. I'm like, You made my light, which is Jesus. Let me point you back to him. But then the second thing is, I've had people ask for me to be in the room, or people have said to me, There's just such a peace about you. I was like, Again, that's the Holy Spirit. I was sitting with him this morning. You feel him through me, but you must always carry your light because you don't know the places and the spaces that God will send you. People calling for you by name that you didn't even have like thought for because in the secret place you were doing and you were stewarding the very thing that you needed to do. You must always pray for direction, guidance, and protection. The enemy is mad. He does not want you to be an entrepreneur. Why? You're taking up dominion in space, you're going out, you're out of your box, you're able to have freedom, you're able to take back things, break generational curses, do things that yo, yo, grandmama and them didn't do. You have to pray for direction, guidance, and protection. And if you're not going to do that, if you're not already doing that in your nine to five, let me tell you, start today. Start today and get ready because it's confusing. Things look good. Like for the believer that thinks that you're gonna get called to a believing, I don't know, like a let's just say somebody from a conference that's like a believer invites you to that conference. You need equipped deliverance or not deliverance, discernment to know that you need to be at that place. God is a God of timing, God is a God of at the right time, at the right place, that He will mature you, but you can't be so quick to go forward. You have to relinquish your control of thinking, okay, God, I I'm not ready for this moment. And God says, at least for me in this season, God says two things He told me. He told me, one, uh, stop avoiding all the people that I put in your place for influence. That's the first thing. And then second was I can teach you everything that you need for this opportunity that he basically gave me when someone had asked me to do something I've never done before. And I said, Okay, so God, you're gonna do it. Cause I don't have the qualifications, nor am I that wise, or that, you know, like I I can fly on the side, but it's gonna be through you. Uh, the fourth thing, this is not a hustle. This is where you were assigned to do in your mother's room. Your obedience brings down God's will. Again, this goes back to what I said before regarding, hey, it might feel really creepy or very scary, not creepy, but scary that God has called you to to write. He's called you to speak, he's called you to go out. And people are like, hey, girl, how you doing? Like, can you come over here? And you're like, oh no, I'm not ready. And it's like you're canceling, you have like a word curse against the very thing that God created you in your mother's womb to do, which is wild because we're always going around saying, What? God, what's my purpose? God, where are we going? What am I gonna do with my life? And God's like, oh yeah, yeah, it's this. And you have to be brave enough to step onto the waters to do the very thing. And so it's not a hustle when you're when you're operating with what God has called you to do as an entrepreneur, what I like to say, a kingdompreneur, is that you rest in the Lord. He opens up every door. You just say yes and you prepare accordingly. Now, if God is giving you the ability to speak, speak. Oh, I think that's scripture. Look it up. I if I could look it up right now, I would look it up, even though I have my Bible. But if God is giving you the ability to speak, then speak, like use your gifts accordingly, even if you don't feel sure or secure in it. And then we go back, we steward it, we do well, we get into the secret place, we we do the best that we could we can without looking to the left and to the right of other people who may be blessed with a different way of reaching different people. We're not all called to reach the same people. You might be um instructed to reach 500 people. I might be uh reached 5,000 people or vice versa. But we don't compare each other's gifts. We know that we're working together as one for the body of Christ. So this is not a hustle. God is assigned to you what is what is for you. And further, there's so many people in the world that why are we trying to all go after one group of people? Like we all Are made in different uh different ways, uniquely made in God's image. Knowledge is important, uh, but understanding is better. When you understand where you should be, when you should be, uh, it makes the decisions easier. And you work with the flow of God and not trying to go upstream. What I mean about that is knowledge will get you only to certain uh places, but understanding, and I believe that's in Proverbs, this understanding of getting it at all costs. There are going to be certain things that aren't gonna be in a textbook. There will be things that God reveals to you when you're in the secret place that won't make sense, that'll be decisions. You're just in the spirit when you're able to go with those things that God has called you to do. Your success isn't predicated on man's praise or how much money you make. I spoke about this um the other day when I was uh in a class and they had asked me, what does success mean to you? And success is right where you are right now, as long as you're obeying what God has called you to do. If he's told you to go out into the nations, if he's told you to write the first chapter or your book, that is success. That is enough. One, our days are numbered. We don't know if we're gonna be here tomorrow. Like the person that's had 10 years to build their success, to be obedient, and the one person that lives one day and they're able to be obedient on that first day, that's success in God's eyes. Everything else is like, it doesn't matter. And so when we put our eyes on, and a lot of people on Instagram, a lot of people on TikTok are out here telling you guys lies to say, hey, you know, get this money, get this bag, in a very dressed-up type of way. They're not saying it specifically, but they're reeling you in to entrepreneurship with this thought of if I make a certain amount of money, I will be successful in my business. And that's not, that's not how we gauge success when it comes to the kingdom. We gauge success by doing what God says, when he says do it, and by spreading the gospel of of uh of the Lord. And so if God has put you into a room and you're only making$15 on that project, but someone's soul, someone's life is turned back to Jesus, do we not consider that a success more than we would$150,000 for a project? Like, what are we doing? The treasures here won't sustain us in eternity. So you can make a million dollars today, consider yourself successful, die tomorrow and be in hell. And be in hell because you were going for money, you were going for mammon, you were going for the land. And it's like, yes, I don't think you need to be in a lack mindset of when you create your business and you're going for certain things and you're thinking, oh, I can only charge$15. Nope. We're gonna get into that later. We're gonna talk about a whole thing about pricing. And there's a way of being generous with that money as well, but we can't hold on to thinking that our success is based on how people like us, how people praise us, what people bring us on, um, if if they're checking for us, how we please them, how we celebrate them. If if that was what we needed to do, then we might as well bow down to Satan right now. And I know nobody wants to hear that, but you might as well bow down to Satan. Yeah, because bow down to all of the glories of the world, bow down to all of the kingdoms of the world. Be prepared to rip up your business plan and be open to the disruption of where God wants to take you. For me specifically, I am speaking by myself. God is doing something different in this season for me, and I'm just like, okay, God, we were there. I've had my business for 12 years, you guys. And so I'm speaking in a place where I won't even say that I'm an expert, but I have some knowledge. I got some miles in me. We didn't, we didn't run around, we didn't do some reckless stuff. I've said yes to some things I should have said no to. I've made some deals that was about money, and then I got out of those things and I had to repent. And I said, God, I'm sorry that I saw the money more than I saw the mission. I saw an opportunity to be favored and to be liked. I mean, there have been so many times that God has been so gracious and kind to me to say, daughter, okay, we we got to do that test again. We got it. And now I think based off of my obedience and just my heart for my business for God. God is doing a new thing in me and I'm taking all of those lessons with me. And when you rip up your business plan and you submit it to God, God's gonna do you tell you to do the most craziest thing. And I'm gonna tell you one of them. One of them is take a whole month of being on a Sabbath. And you're like, girl, what are you talking about? I barely just started my I know you just started your business. I know you just started your business. But there's something so beautiful when not only you're giving both your like every whatever day is your Sabbath during the week back to God, but when you give a whole month to God, there's a faith to faith to glory to glory moment. Let's just say that, right? You physically have to one steward your finances enough to be able to make it through that month. That's number one. Two, you have to be faithful to understand that if you're not working, God's providing because he is Jehovah Jrah, right? He's the provider. There have been times where I have, and I and I have to give this story, and I get this story all the time. When I'm out tap dancing, making my own noise, trying to get people to like tend to me and see how great I am and see that I'm worthy and see all of my work, my phone is dry. My emails are dry, they're all crusty, they're looking like like day old bread. But when I'm sitting on my couch, minding my business, reading my Bible in the secret place, there are people knocking on, hey, what are you doing? Hey, hey, hey. And I'm just like, God, I'm just sitting here minding my own business. And I think it's it's based off of your obedience, your discipline, and your consistency or your faithfulness to God. And I've always tried to put that first. I mean, God, this is your month. Like, I'm not working. I've had people taking off the whole month of August. And people were like, hey, so are you available August 21st? And I was like, No is no, August 21st, 22nd, 23rd. How many days? There's 31. Get back to me on September 1st. And it's taken so much discipline. It's so it's taken so much to be like, but God, you're gonna provide. Like, I'm not even doing client referrals in a whole month. Like my computer is on do not disturb. There is an away message. I will get back to you on September. And I'm sitting here with the Lord, just going through Bible studies, going through word, worshiping, praising, waking up, doing like absolutely nothing. And that's a lot of trust to trusting God for a whole month of provision and you're not leaking, but my God's faithful. And I've been doing it for 12 years, y'all. So I'm like, I got receipts. So this goes back to knowing my worth of knowing if anyone were to ever to say, Oh, you don't need to take a Sabbath, I'd be like, I'm for me in my house, for me in my house, I am choosing to take a Sabbath. And so um, those are kind of the points as a kingdompreneur. Let me run through this entrepreneur list real quick. Entrepreneurs in the world believe you have to work 24 hours around the clock to be successful. Wild. It's a lie from the enemy. He wants to keep you busy in a cycle, wants you to get you the money, wants you to spend more, all of the things. They believe that they're uh that they're their own boss and they have the freedom to do whatever they please. No. When you were submitted underneath the most high God, we don't do whatever we want to do. God is our provider, God is our submission, God is our covering, God is the head over our lives. And so there are certain things that we can and we can't do. And so we can't just be out here taking every job. We can't be out here just spending all the money. We can't be over here buying every uh Lambo Vince, all of the sometimes you're gonna have just a basic looking house and your business is gonna be successful. And so this ideal of like you have to look a certain way to be successful is bananas. I'm not saying you have to be dirt poor. I'm not saying you have to be uh, what is that word I'm looking for? Just a basic regular, regular like, but there's something so powerful in knowing the understanding of what it is to have kingdom wealth and wisdom and counsel to be able to pass down. Entrepreneurs also believe the ones that are the world that they make business deal and sign agreements based on their feelings or depending on how much money they will make. If God tells you to do a job, if God tells you to do a job, I have done um there have been like a few few shows and stuff that I've done that I don't look at the money that I'm like, ooh, this this is such a cool show, that this is an opportunity to give back in some way, that I'm able to be a light, that I'm able to be filled. Like I will do stuff like I'll be like, oh, okay, like this isn't what I thought it was. I had one particular, and there's this one show that I love, love, love to do. And there are 10,000 kids. Oof, Jesus. The first time I took the show, uh, I thought it was just like a regular conference, and I was like very business, like, and they started singing worship songs, a cappella. And here I am, like I'm doing right now. I'm just crying. Like, oh my gosh, God, like, what is going on? And I've gotten the opportunity to do it, I think it's two or three times now, and it's like every other year. And it just warms my heart to have 10,000 kids worshiping the Lord, praising him, and the spirit of the Holy Spirit just coming on. And it's just like, oh, okay, God, you hear? Like, this has nothing to do with the money. So I'm like, okay, God, as long as you call me to do it at the time, um, I'll continue to be faithful. So back to doing business deals because of agreements. We don't do that here. That's not what we do because we serve a greater God and we know purposes and we look and we seek and we discern. Um, those who are entrepreneurs of the world, they uh will forsake their family and live for their purpose and business. And so many times we see business um owners who are about this hustle and are about this grind and forget their first ministry, which is their family, which is their their the very wife or uh husband or children that they prayed for in one season and they've forgotten them. And then we wonder why we have so many issues in our world, why we have so many um just problems of like establishing a family. So again, if you are an entrepreneur, you need to put boundaries around your schedule. We'll talk through that as well, but these boundaries around your life of understanding, okay, I need to dedicate time to the Lord, right? I'm gonna dedicate an hour a day to sit before the Lord in silence. That's a certain level of discipline. I'm going to be done by eight o'clock each night because I need to have food on the table for all of my single people. Hey, hey, we had a single episode. Um, for all of my single people, you need to do the same thing. You're preparing your house. You need to get ready. I talked about this in my last episode with Brooklyn, that you're creating and you're designating a certain place and a time for your spouse. He's not here, she's not here yet. But when she gets here, you're not gonna be acting brand new and be like, oh dang, I wasn't even expecting you to be here. Girl, you've been praying for him. Get ready for him. Make that six o'clock hour, make that seven o'clock hour your time for your spouse. Go get off the computer, go make dinner, make it a thing, light some candles. It's just you and the Holy Spirit at the moment. But he's gonna or she's going to fill that seat. And so making that intentional time now will save you the heartache of later of trying to like change your business, change your things. And I'm trying to be a better steward of that, even in my own time of like, okay, I might not get on until eight or nine o'clock with my clients. And some of you guys are like, wow, that's like, why? Because that's gonna be my time in the morning with him. That's gonna be my time. Like, I I have I have moments and times where I wake up at certain times to sp to spend with the Lord, and I'm like, I'm not my full self if I'm not fully poured in to the Holy Spirit. And then the last thing when it comes to an entrepreneur of the world, they're focusing on this limitless income and this financial success. And so I've talked about this before of having this ideal of mammon. It puts you in a rat race of things that I and I think a lot of the world is like that right now, where we won't do certain things, we even look at people differently. What was that mean? Y'all were talking about on Instagram when it was like, oh, he has to have six figures or like maybe I'm not gonna repeat it. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Let me just hush. But essentially, y'all are out here for the bag. And I think that's even a heart posture that you should go back to the Lord and meditate and say, God, why is money so important to me? Even for men, I know that you have to, and you are called to be the covering, you were called to be the head, you were called to be the protector, you were called to be the provider. And there's still some level of integris, there's still some level of working in the way that God has called us to be. And I think that that is just so important when we're actually um, when we're doing the work of God and knowing that yes, outdoors, finances, money, favor, miracles will come your way. And our hope, our dedication, our fruit is rooted in following what God says. And so whether, oh Jesus, and whether you get it or you don't, would you not be content is the question. Let's just keep it a buck. If you only made$100,000 this year and that's you know sufficiently covered your finances. You you had your car, your house, all of that, would you be satisfied? If you did everything God called you to do, and many people would be like, Yeah, of course. And I would challenge you to say, no, you wouldn't. You'd be like, dang, I was supposed to go for$200,000 this year. I made goals, I made a vision. What is it, Hebeka 2? Like, uh to to write the vision, make it plain, like, but it also says, like, is you know, for uh a future time, like don't grow weary. But we get so caught up in our goals, and it's like many are the plans, but it is God, right? Many are our plans. You can have them, but a lot of people become depressed, they become um discontented, and then this is what happens, and I'll I'll leave us with this. When you don't get what you want, then you walk away from the assignment God has given you. And there's been many a times where, not from a financial perspective, I've been asking God for certain things, and I'm like, God, I don't want to do X, Y, Z anymore. This isn't fun anymore. I have to do this. And I have to rip up my lists, my plans, my emotions, what I am to be submitted and obedient to what God is calling me to do. And so many people, I believe, will get reined in or reeled in into this ideal of money success, basically prosperity gospel, but pro prosperity entrepreneurship. And what you guys are gonna end up doing is you're gonna walk away from it when it gets too hard. It's gonna come up to a month and it's gonna be dry. And you'll be like, oh my gosh, I want to go back to corporate. I want to go back to my safety and my comfort job. Baby, let me tell you, I didn't try that. And God was like, I didn't tell you to do that. And I've been overqualified. I have tried to go like essentially go get a job from like not Mickey D's, but essentially someplace where I'm like, I know that I'm gonna get this job. And they were like, Yeah, you're not gonna get it. And I'm like, Well, I'm gonna sit here. And so many of the people that are being called in this season, I want you to be very cautious and and and understanding your why and understand why God has called you into a place. Because when it gets hard, when people aren't talking to you, when people aren't reaching out to you for business, will you continue with what God has called you to do unto the land? Because if you're not, you might as well not even start. I'm just, I mean, I don't want to tell you what not to do. I'm just gonna tell you to sit out for a season so that your heart can be changed, so that you can go through the process so that when you get into a place and you want to walk away, which is disobedience, that you are able to get back in line. You need an accountability people, you need to be able to have sound and wise counsel. You aren't gonna always be able to walk away. You're not gonna get the clients you want, you're not gonna get the money you want, it's gonna be dry one. You gonna have people like that are your business partners that are gonna walk out on you, like the you're not gonna have out just so many things. It's not going to work out, but it'll work out for your good, even through the long suffering, even through the trials, even through the situations. It's all working together in some form or fashion. And so, will you stick around for all the things that God has called you um and purpose you to do in this season? And so that's our first episode. That's our first episode on kingdompreneurship. I'm over here crying because I'm getting emotional with you guys, because I think that um it's it's just going to be um, it's gonna be difficult and challenging. Can I just tell you that? If no one's going to tell you this and they're gonna say it's easy, it's amazing, it's so much fun. I have my own. It's so difficult to learn, to walk out into the waters and never do it again, to pick up a book, to not have knowledge, to be sitting in rooms where you don't feel qualified for being the only black, brown, or Hispanic person in the room. And you're like, uh I'm the only part. What will we doing out here? What are we doing out here? Being the less educated person that didn't come from a prestigious school, not having a financial background, not having a business uh background, and God making a way. And you're sitting at the table with CEOs from global Fortune 500 companies with your voice, with your ideas, with your inspiration, with your voice, because voice has power, right? When you're going into dark places and your your voice is making a sound, my God, it's shattering and it's breaking, uh making room for the Lord to come in. And so if you have nothing else but your faith, let me tell you to be able to steward that thing, be able to take it into the place that you're consistent with it, that you're getting up every single morning or every night, just sitting and meditating with the Lord and knowing that just by sitting, that you'll get revelation, that you'll get breakthrough, that you'll get direction, that you'll get understanding, and that there'll be highs and lows, but the Lord is consistent, he is faithful, he will never forsake us. And so, with that, I'm gonna pray us out. I'm gonna pray us out because it was a lot. And so I encourage you, you can do this. If nobody's told you you can do it, you can do it. I believe in you. I don't believe God gave you that idea, that tugging, whoo, that tugging be so you be wrestling, like, oh, I really want to do it today. It's an EIN number, y'all. Do it, do it afraid, see what God does, ask God for confirmation. If you fall, go back and do it again. You thought I was gonna say something different. Nope, I'm not gonna say anything different. So, uh, dear Heavenly Father, God, we thank you for being such an amazing God that you are, that you give the power and the spirit of entrepreneurship in the season, God. I pray that you cover your children, Lord, that you give them insight, ideas, Lord. But more importantly, Lord, that they're courageous and they're bold, God, that they don't look at the people's faces, God, that you give them the ability, Lord, to just sit in your presence, Lord, for understanding, Lord. And that you give them that the courage and the warrior mentality that you gave to Gideon, God, that when you chose them, God, that you gave them the anointing that you gave to Samuel, God, that you gave the same kind of anointing when you gave to Saul, God, Lord, that you break the mindsets of us being insecure and limiting our beliefs and who and what you called us to do. When you created us long ago, Lord, when you made the heavens and the earth, Lord, wonderfully complex, Lord, specific for a divine instruction and assignment into the world, Lord, that we would grab back the darkness, Lord, and that we will be light, God, that we will be salt, God, that we would go into places going with our hearts and our minds set upon you, Lord, and not the money, not the mammon, not the power, not the fame, not the notoriety, God. But Lord, actually trusting and following your word, Lord, and all that you called us to do. I pray that your hand and your favor be upon us, Lord, that protection goes before us, Lord, that our angels be everywhere around us, Lord, orchestrating our foot, Lord, and that the sun will not harm us by day nor the moon by night, Lord. So, Lord, we give you all the glory and all of the honor. And we thank you, God, for what you've already done. Give us destiny helpers, God. Yoke us with those who have business mindset, Lord, and are able to assist us with our business ideas that you've given us, Lord, that we may be able to take over uh the land and dominion that you called us to, God, um, and that you download in us, Lord, while sleeping, Lord, what to do next, how to do it, God. But that we faithfully always come back to you, Lord, um, with our hearts set upon you and not on your hands, but in the intimacy of your presence in the secret place, Lord, of the Most High God. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. The Big Bullfeed Podcast is a production of Sozo Digital Media.
