And I pray that this continues to encourage you. Um, whether you're a new believer, whether you've been a saint, you an ain't, you've been just here for a moment. Um, I pray that this deeply encourages you and edifies you in what you're seeking. So if you're watching this on YouTube, which we have a new YouTube channel, y'all. We finally getting up out of these streets. We're finally um doing a new thing, being uncomfortable in the season. Um, I pray that you hit that subscribe button, right? Hit the notification bell so you never miss an episode. We have so many great things coming up in the year to come. I have some amazing um new topics and insights and things and wisdom that I just want to share with you guys. And so I do not want you guys to miss it. We are all about growth here. So if today's episode speaks to you, I want you to leave us a comment and let us chat about it. Um, I'd love to hear how you guys are navigating your big bold faith daily. Um, and whatever that looks like, right? We all think that boldness looks like in this big Goliath um David type of moment where you're stepping out into this uh monument. But sometimes it's just like doing something that you didn't do yesterday, that you can start seeing the fruit of your labor, that you can start seeing that that word that you've been soaking in, that that meditation day and night is really looking like love, patience, joy, self-long suffering, right? Um, self-discipline, all of those things. And so that is what we're here for, the day-to-day, the practical being ordinarily bold for Christ in every single way. Um, and of course, we're based on the book of Acts, um, just these ordinary men, and that they were able to see Jesus in them in the every single day. So, today's episode, right? Um, I was so excited because the last episode that I was talking about, kingdompreneurship, you guys were just loving it. You were loving it. And it's not me. I just, I really want to say that um I know a lot of people will get on the mic. I will try to be the best communicator. I will bring all of the goodness that God has given me in my energetic light and beans. But at the end of the day, um I try to do what God has called me to do. I try to do what the Bible tells me to say uh and to do and to walk out my life as a woman of God, um, as an entrepreneur in all facets and all light. And I just want to share really great tips that have worked for me onto you. And so I heard so much wonderful feedback that I have more to give you. And I pray that it blesses you in this season. If you are an entrepreneur, if you're feeling called into the unknown, which a lot of us are. We're like, Well, God, you you're calling me to do a new thing. You're calling me into the waves, you're calling me into industries that I didn't think that I could be. And you're scared and you're nervous and you're overwhelmed and you're anxious, and you're like, God, I don't, I don't think it's me. When I think about Gideon, when he was just trying to provide for his family, and God saw uh beyond his current situation of who he was and called him a great warrior. He called him mighty, he called him uh something that he couldn't see. And um, him being like, I'm the smallest out of my tribe. I'm the weakest out of my tribe. God, I don't know nothing. And then I think about Moses and his speech impediment and how God was so faithful. God was still able to use him, right? He was able to bring alongside an Aaron and a herd to support him, uh, which we all need, destiny helpers, as we embark on this beautiful nature of entrepreneurship for the kingdom, um, because it's not for the faint of heart. The enemy does not like us because we are going back to take dominion and power and authority over places and spaces that he thought that he had uh access to, that he thought that he was going to reign. Um, and we know what his fate is. Um, and his time is very small and short here on earth. And so we take up our full armor of the faith of God that God has given us in every space um in every situation and everything that he has called you to do, we do well and we do it as an unto the Lord so that we give glory to him in every situation. And so I am going to um jump into just talking about entrepreneurs. If you're an aspiring business owner, um, we're gonna talk about today how to trust God for direction when you feel overwhelmed or uncertain about the future of your business. So if you're feeling anxious or you're unsure about what steps to take next, you're not alone. Okay. So we're gonna dive in because let's get real. Entrepreneurship. Yo, it is tough. It is hard for some folks we would say is ghetto. Um, it's a lot to be an entrepreneur. I don't want to sugarcoat it. I'm not gonna tell you anything else. I've been in the game, or I can say I've been in this entrepreneur um up and down for the last 12 years. And what a beautiful thing that God has given me. Um, I have to be doing the numbers on my hands some days because people are like, How long have you been an entrepreneur? And I'm like, my God, it's been 12 years that you've been faithful and consistent. And though it didn't look like everyone else's business, I know that I've been walking and operating in the light of God, um, that I have the mantleship and the anointing of entrepreneurship. Um, many people would call, you know, some people like a Deborah. Deborah had the Deborah anointing, which was entrepreneurship and the way that she was able to lead God's people in a time of war, but also understanding what it was to trade and to be a business person. But we won't get down that that route today route today. Um, there's several books. There's actually a book called The Deborah Anointing, if you're um more interested in about reading about that. And when it comes to entrepreneurship, I'll share a personal story uh that happened this week. I get to be a serial entrepreneur, you guys, but people will be like, oh my gosh, what's so exciting? You're having multiple businesses. And I'm like, uh-huh, uh-huh, oh God, what we what are we doing? Because uh I was good at the first thing. Now you've involved me into the second thing, and I'm not sure. He hasn't told me to put down my first business yet. So we're gonna keep going, keep rocking until God tells us to close it because what we always listen and obey to God, right? Uh a lot of people will tell you, hey, to put down something. I'm very um uh I try to be very discerning and very intentional in listening for the word of God of the things I pick up and the things I put down. And though it feels very overwhelming at the season to be trying to run two things, keeping one um going and then basically starting something completely new that I have no uh credibility. I have no experience. I I think I have experience to a certain point. But um, when you're when you're called to do two things at once and you're a serial entrepreneur, it can feel very overwhelming. And I literally uh was sitting on that couch right behind us, and I sat in front of the Lord and I said, God, this is overwhelming. Um, I feel such this amount of weight that's uh that's weighing me down of understanding what it is that you're calling me to do. How am I supposed to do this? I'm only one woman. Um, I'm trying to be obedient, I'm trying to be consistent, I'm trying to be disciplined, I'm trying to call to do everything that you've called me to do, God. And it feels like it's too much and I don't know what to do. I don't know where to start. I don't have a strategy, I don't have a plan. Um, I don't even know where to start and with that honesty um and that vulnerability, God answered me very quickly. And I was actually kind of surprised. I'm not gonna say surprised that he answered me, but surprised on the timetable of how he provided such a clear and concise answer of literally giving me a seven-page uh strategy for my business or my new business in the next year. And um I will be sharing more about that um soon and shortly, because I think it'll be super beneficial for some of you guys as you're listening. So please stay tuned. That call and cry came out of me being consistent to God, knowing that the first way that I followed my business, my first business, and always relating to God and saying, God, hey, I have this agreement, hey, I have this partnership, hey, I have this show, hey, I have this thing that I'm not sure. That day-to-day communication with God was so um phenomenal and I think just foundational to me being on my knees to be like, God, I don't want to, I don't want to go if you're not there. I don't want, I'm like Moses, God, if you're not going, I'm not going. I'm gonna stay right here with the one business unless you tell me for sure it's a second business. And I need strategy, God, because I I literally don't know. I hear it, I hear what you're calling me to do. I feel this rapid um urge and pull to do a new, doing something new that I haven't done before. But there was this insurmountable anxiousness. And so I want to speak to the entrepreneur now and the aspiring business owners. If that is you, know that you're not alone. Know that a lot of business owners that are being called into this place in space, you're gonna feel that weight. What I'm going to tell you to say is not to grow weary, right? I'm gonna tell you to go into the secret place of the most high God and to sit at his feet and to be honest and to ask for wise counsel, a multitude of counselors as he guides you into this next place. I don't want you to put down the ideal because you think that it's too much. Maybe in this season it's you just building. Maybe it's just you getting the foundation. Maybe it is you. Um, I'm in the book of Ezra. When they come back from Babylon and they're about to restart the building of the temple, the temple that's been kind of broken down after the so many years of them being in captivity. The first thing that they do is they build an altar. They build an altar back to God and they're sacrificing back to him day and night. And so, what I will tell you to do before you start rebuilding um your temple or building your temple in general is to build an altar for the Lord. That will be your consistent place of where you're always going back before the Lord to ask him for guidance and insight and strategy for endurance, for um mercy and grace. And to, and for him, just his voice to be so profound over the noise, over the distraction, over uh the insecurity of not feeling valid, of not feeling enough, of not having the experience, of not having the instruction, of not knowing where to go when it goes to direction. Build your altar first. If that's say anything else, build your altar first. Um, I I've been wrestling with that. Um, and it it really got to a fact where it was fear of holding me back, of not going forward because I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted it to look like something. And when God just laid it out for me, it was wild. It was wild. Like I was so shook that I was like, oh, okay, that this this is this is how you do business for the kingdom, right? It's and you know the very thing, you guys, I was not asking for. I was not asking for notoriety. I wasn't asking for power. I wasn't asking for a five-figure. I said, God, give me the strategy of what you see this to be. What is your purpose, right? What is it that you want to get out? What is your communication? What is your good and creation that you want to get into the earth? It's not my will be done. It is your will be done. And so as many of us are saying, Oh my gosh, I'm overwhelmed because I don't. I wasn't even looking at the finances, you guys. I'm not looking at the startup costs. I'm like, God, what is this? What is the point? What is the point of you wanting me to do this? Because I was content in my other season. And you're calling me out into the waters, you're calling me to build a new boat, a new thing. And I'm just like, but why? What what's what is the point? What is the mission? What is the vision? What is the thing that's greater than me? And that's the most beautiful thing that I love about God. When you start walking with Him, the vision becomes so, so big, and you're just like, oh my gosh, this is this is so much bigger than me. I I can't do this, God. I I need help. And God's like, we're on track, we're in the right direction, we're going where we're going. It's crazy when you when you think about it, but when you really like have the moment to sit with God in the revelation of it and holding you understand where your health comes from. He who watches over is will neither slumber or sleep. The Lord is a guard, a shield around you in all that you do. And so if you're feeling that way, if you're anxious, I pray that you you get real and honest and bold. Being bold is to be honest and vulnerable to say, God, this is overwhelming. This is full of anxiety. Like we we can do, we can say that, you guys. I know that a lot of my saint friends and over spiritual folks, y'all gonna be like, ooh, watch what comes out of your mouth. Yes, and let me be honest, God. God, I feel anxious, but I know that you're in control in this season. Like I need you to to guide me in in a way that it just makes sense. And so do that. Take that in your your your soul time, your uh your seed time, uh, seed time, harvest time, but in your seed time as you're building, as you're like just before the Lord, just be like, God, because that's where you're gonna be most of the time, right? As an entrepreneur, I already said build your altar first. That's the first thing I'm gonna give you guys in in in this assignment. But the second thing I'm gonna say is you need to be in a consistent relationship with God if you ever think that you're gonna do this right, right? If you're not going to want to be in relationship with the creator to give you this big, just just sit out for a season. Sit out for a season, fast for a season, try to get a better understanding of who God is apart from your business, because it's going to take all of Him and less of you because what He's gonna ask you to do is gonna be so wild and crazy that you're not gonna, His ways are gonna be way past people. Are you gonna be over here asking you for deals and things that you didn't even think you could do, and you're gonna be like, uh, I I can't do that. And it's it's amazing when we actually trust God. Um, I before we go into kind of some more other tips, um, I want to kind of share this revelation um that I received kind of today. And I I hadn't thought about it until I was listening to a word um at church. And we know the past that says um without faith, it's impossible to please God. And so for me, that scripture always meant like without faith, without belief of God being the creator, of him being Abba, of him being everything, Alpha and Omega, without him being Jyra, Jehovah, all of his names, um, it would be impossible to please God. But what really came to me is that it's more than that, it's about trusting that he won't drop us, that um, that even in our doubt, that even in our fear, that he has our backs. And so when when you're in building your business and you're like, oh my gosh, I do not know what direction that I'm going into, there is a faith of stepping in a direction that you believe as a believer, that God is calling you to go into and knowing that he's not going to drop you, that he watches over everything, that he sees you, that he knows you, that he like that nothing surprises him. And so knowing that um, I've had to be really mindful of this, of thinking that how do I say this, Lord? Essentially, me by myself, right? I believe in God and I do everything in my nature to make sure that I'm close within reverence of God. When you hold that type of position with God, and when then when God calls you into the waters of believing to do something that is outside of your scope or outside of what you believe in yourselves, you have to remember that God is greater than your fear, God is greater than your idea, God is greater than what your mess ups can be. And I say that like lightly, but I say it with power and faith. So essentially, okay, so we'll, we'll, we'll take a real example, right? I'm a 90s kid. I grew up in the 90s, I grew up in the days where your mama and them would let you run in the streets. Y'all could go to the bomb pop ma'am, y'all can go to the candy man, um, y'all could go to the mall, y'all could go swimming, and they were not worried about you. They didn't have a phone on you, and they had no concern about you. And in that process, most, most, mostly, nothing bad happened to us, right? Like, we made it out alive. We are here and we go through more issues today than we did when we were growing up. But I think about it like God. God gives us the freedom to go. Go to the swimming pool, go to the bomb pop man, go to the candy man, start that business. And he's still watching over you. You know how you also had those like mothers and aunts and neighbors in the neighborhood that could like still kind of watch you, so they were like your mama's like surveillance camera. You knew that you like you could do anything, but you couldn't do everything because somebody's mama would have called your mama, and then when you got home, you were gonna be in trouble because somebody else ratted you out. Same kind of concept. God is always watching you, God has his angels watching over you. If he's omnipresent, right? If he's omnipotent, if he can see and be in all places, what are you worried about? What are you worried about? If if at the end of the day, when you step out into faith and doing what you believe he's told you to do, and him being the good father to watch over you and to correct your path, fear is holding you back from doing the very thing. You don't need another word, you don't need another sermon, you don't need another prayer. You need to get up and go. When I think about Abraham, my God, he got up and went, had no clue where he was going, and he started walking. And God redirected him when needed to get to the place that he needed to go. Even when he went through Egypt and he was like trying to sell off his uh wife as his sister, Sarai, saying, We oh, we we we just we play cousins, we we sit, we brother and sisters. Essentially, God rerouting him and getting him to the place that he needs to. And so, if as a um entrepreneur, you're struggling with direction and you're like, I don't know what to do, I want you to take time this week to sit just with quietness, right? And sit with the Lord. And when you're sitting with the Lord, just hear from the Lord, right? We we those who follow us know his voice, right? We won't listen to a stranger. There was a voice that is calling you. There is something that he's already called you to do, that you have this inkling that whenever you feel like doing it or you feel or you're already doing it and you don't know that you're doing it or you've been doing it, and people are like, Oh, here goes the second thing I'm gonna tell you. If you don't know what you're supposed to be doing, listen to what other people are saying about you. And we're not using that as a way for applause from audience or from other people. What we do is we use that to say, okay, God, what I'm hearing is a lot of people say that I'm wise, a lot of people saying that I'm fervent, a lot of people that are saying that I'm a good communicator, a lot of people that are saying um that I um I'm a good administrator, that I'm organized, that I'm really good with systems, that I'm really good with leading people, that I'm really good with finances, that I have a talent and a knack for art. Take those things and those compliments that people are giving you um and take them back to the Lord and say, Lord, this is what I've been hearing. Where do you want me to go with this? And so God might start, you might start something. You might be like, okay, cool, I'm gonna start a, you know, a baking company. This is the beautiful thing about God, you guys. We think that we are so much in call in control of our lives, but we really aren't. Um, I believe that in the baking, right? You start the baking business, you're like, oh, I'm gonna start a baking business. And I'll I'll give a personal, uh, a personal story. When I first started my business, uh, my business has gone through, let's see, I think two different names. I had started as B Neek event, right? It was uh B, my first name, as in Bravo, and then Anique, because I was trying to be uniquely different. So I was like, oh, these are gonna be my unique events. I was I was cool back then, and people couldn't say it. And then I changed it. And then I changed it to just my last name. And then I started doing more management, and then I started doing production. And then what are we doing right now, you guys? I have gone for 12 years with my business doing events, and now God is stepping me into doing something else. And so I hope that that empowers you to know that when you let God control your whole life, that there's steps that are involved and there's yeses and no's. And it's it's gonna take time. Can we stop that too? There's a instant gratification that comes when running the business, and we all think that we're all gonna be in five figures, that we're gonna have 20 clients by the end of the year, and that possibly may happen, but it possibly may not happen as well. It might take you 10 years to get your feeling, to get a roll, a roll call of people. That's not the goal. Uh you might not even get to what you're really called to do. Can you imagine? When I think about Martin Luther King Jr., when I think about people that were in their lane and space and they started as, you know, uh as a pastor or something, or they started as a speaker or a school teacher, and now they're in other places. When we think about our lives, I want you to think about the totality of your life. I want you to think about the fullness of your life. I want you to think if you live to be 70 or 120, that's what I'm going for, God, if it is your will, 120, right? That it not be so focused on, okay, God, I'm gonna be a baker for 120 years. Maybe it's the evolution of God changing me from a baker to um an art director to uh a motivational speaker to um someone with wisdom and insight um that's able to speak into lives of other people that don't. Who knows? Who knows what you would be if you would only let God allow him to be the full instruction and the direction as he guides and counsels yourself. When I think about the passage, it says he is a light unto your footpath. It is the light that's one foot in front of the other, that you're not able to see, you're not able to see your second foot. You only have enough light for the first foot. And you we go in obedience, we go in faith, we go in the direction of what God has called us to for that second foot. When we think about direction, I want you to think more so less than, okay, this is gonna be the forever thing that I'm going to do, to thinking this is the first thing that God has called me to do. I don't know what else is God's gonna do. God can make you multifaceted. I was talking to someone earlier today. I said, be open to what God wants to do in the multiple streams of creativity. I know a lot of people talk about multiple uh streams of uh passive income. I'm not talking about passive income. I'm thinking if you could do so many things and we wouldn't limit ourselves to being like, well, I only want to be an interior designer. Oh, I only want to be a pastor. Oh, I only want to what I mean. If you think about God, take a step back, think of God as the creator, right? He is the facet of everything. He does art, he does architect, he's a math mathematician, he is a pastor, he is a good with words, he is a linguist, he's a polyglot, he's all of these things, right? All of the positions of the world and so much more that we haven't identified because we don't understand the fullness of his glory. We are a part of that. We are a piece of that. And so if we are a piece of God, right, and we share a fraction of him, why could we not share a fraction of also being other things outside of one thing, right? So let's let's just take a moment and receive that this too could be so much more. You could be more than what you decide to decide to to make and label yourself to be in the midst of finding your direction. I want to leave us kind of with these three takeaways that have been instrumental and game changers for me. And I believe that they were, they will be for you as well. Take your time, take your time. I'm gonna say what I said a little bit earlier, and I I said this in the last episode too, about kingdompreneurship of uh it being for God's glory or for your ego. There are so many people that are promoting, that are marketing to you guys and saying, Hey, I can get you six figures as an entrepreneur. And my rebuttal and my response is, are you going to be so quick to take the money, the mammon, versus the obedience of what God has called you to do? Money is quick and cheap, y'all. The calling of God requires time, endurance, and it's a long time and devotion to God. I don't want you to get sucker punched with these people out here. Um I'm uh okay, I'm not gonna say what I was gonna say, but God knows I look, I I changed my, I will change my wording if the Holy Spirit has not allowed me to say it. Um, these people, we just gonna call them these people out here, are trying to trick and deceive you guys to say, oh my gosh, come over here real quick. Let me show you how to make seven figures. And it's like, are you going to obey God? When I think about Moses' life, yes, there was much added to his life, but he was with God doing God's work for decades, decades, leading the children of Israel for decades. They were so ungrateful, they were so complaining, they didn't know what they he done struck the right, uh struck the rock and struck his own right to go into the promised land because they were getting on his nerves. Can you imagine? Would you go for 40 or 50 years and what God has called you to do if it was in the wilderness? Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? If God's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I want you to lead my people out of out of Israel, right? You're like, oh, okay, cool, we're going to the promised land. And God hasn't showed, God hasn't revealed, God hasn't given to you a dream that you're going to be circling in the wilderness for 40 years with these folks because they're complaining. And you're the leader. And God is pleased with you. God is pleased with you. He loves you. He's he you are God's friend. You are the only one in the book of the Bible that God calls friend that has a reverence for God. And you're in the middle of like the wilderness, eating manna. And what like, God, I didn't sign up for this. I called to obey you. I called to work. I called to be an entrepreneur for your kingdom. Would you accept that? Or are you really after the money? And what I think it does is it exposes your heart, really. It exposes what you're really after. You're after God's hand. You're like, okay, God, I can't, I can't stand these people at corporate. I can't stand these people at my other job. So yeah, let me be my own person. Let me go into my own selfish ambition. Let me, let me rise up myself, let me have my own pride, let me make my own thing, let me do my own thing because I'm bad by myself. As an entrepreneur for the kingdom of God, not for darkness, for the kingdom of God that puts you in a very um uh very deceptive place. And I pray that you are able to assess your heart in the things that you really want. And I don't want to condemn you, nor do I want to shame you. I just want to point out to you lovingly what it is that the world is trying to do. It's taking the very thing that people are now celebrating, um, and they're making it a very quick and fast thing to do and to accept so that you can get rich, so that you can have power, that you can have notoriety, that you can sit, that you can have a big fancy home, that you can be sitting on what, so that it has nothing to do with serving God. It has nothing to do with serving his people. It has nothing to do with praying for people, it has nothing to do with walking with his people for 40 years in the wilderness. It has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do about you and you staying on this earth. Um, and I said it earlier. I said, what what good is it to make$50 million and die and wake up in hell tomorrow? And you thought and you thought that you were an entrepreneur. Yeah, you were an entrepreneur, all right? Getting this money uh for the wrong kingdom and for the wrong things. And so I'm gonna tell you to take your time. When you follow God, um, the world is going to try to hurry you. There's going to be distractions, there's gonna be things that are gonna say, you gotta launch it now, you gotta do it now, and we move at the pace of God. Let me say it again. The timing of God is the diviness of God. We want to be like the tribe of uh Issachar, I believe, knowing, knowing the uh the uh what is it, the seasons of time essentially, they knew what was going on in the world. And so, yes, we respond quickly when God tells us to do, but we roll slow unless God says something else. And I can tell you by experience, and I've told you guys this, and I will continue saying this. I don't move fast for anyone. When people are like, you need to sign you first off, they say you need to sign this by end of day, and it's 450, and they want me to sign it by five, and I have not heard anything from God. I'll be like, I'm not signing that. They're like, Well, then you can't work with us. So I guess I'm not working with you. Now I have now that that requires me being in the presence of the Lord because guess what? I've already prayed in advance for these opportunities. I'm not waiting till they come mostly. Usually I'm like, God, open my eyes, give me discernment. Let me know. Let me be quick, uh, be quick to to to go where you want me to go, but slow, because there's error that happens when you're haste. When you're in haste, move to move that the world wants you not to see. They want you not to read the terms and the conditions, y'all. Oh my gosh, you guys, I I don't even plan to go this way. They don't want you to read the terms and conditions of what you're signing up, what you're yoking to, what's your partnering, and the covenant that you're Signing with them, right? Your business, your business is going to be in covenant. In God uses covenants all the time in the word, right? He uses covenants all the time in the word. He says, if then there's some things that are conditional, some things that are promises God gives you. But the uh as much as the Lord works with covenants, so does the enemy. I've talked spoken about this before on my personal page or on my uh on my podcast page on Instagram. If you guys are not following, you definitely should. Um it's at Big Bold Faith. But on this particular day, God dot God was showing me how the world works is a mirror image of how the spiritual world works, right? They need some type of covenant, some type of condition. And so if you're not reading your terms and agreements for what you have, I would consider both in the physical and the spiritual that you that you take time to read those, but also that you take time. The world is all about hustle, especially when it comes to entrepreneurship. But sometimes we can get so caught up trying to rush ahead that we forget to trust in God's pace, right? God, God is greater than us, God's timing is greater than us. But when we're working in the timing of God and in the space of God, all things flow the way that they're supposed to. He has a perfect timing for everything under the sun. So when you're thinking that you're unqualified or you're feeling like you have to launch the business or you have to do anything, I'm gonna employ you to take the class. Take that six-week class, take that six-month class for what God is calling you to build. Start reading that book at a at a at a space. Don't feel like you have to be able to eat um have to eat it up, or I'm gonna say eat it up, but basically digest it overnight. Start building, don't rush the process. When I look at Ezra, you again, you guys, uh power for scripture that I've just been kind of meditating on, the time that it took them to rebuild the the um the temple of God in a way, I think it was like 20 years that they rebuilt, and and it wasn't even to the size and spec of what Solomon did. It's gonna take time. And I think that there's an importance when it thinks when we think about time. When we think about time, we think that our time is limited. And maybe, maybe you're building to hand off to the next, to hand over to your daughter, to hand over to your son, to hand over as a succession plan, to start building into the earth and planting the seeds that maybe they it won't harvest for you. Just think about it like that as well. So that's my first um kind of takeaway. My second is be okay with getting it wrong and doing it again. I'm a perfectionist. Hello, welcome to perfectionist anonymous, your girl Britney over here. I'm the lead, I'm your host. Um, and it's hard because I want to get everything right all the time from the beginning, from the jump. And in this new business, it's not looking, it's not looking the way I want it to be. But I'm trusting God in it. It's scary. And I feel like you can't get it right unless you're willing to first get it wrong. Let me say that again for you. You can't get it right unless you're willing to get it wrong first. There is something beautiful when God has your yes and your hands are open and you're saying, okay, God, I'm gonna try it like this. And if you get it wrong, guess what? You do it again. What's uh what's Leo Song Young? If you first don't succeed, pick yourself up and try again. Entrepreneurship is all about trial and error. You've gotta live it. You gotta do it, you've gotta like do the finances, you gotta do the network, you gotta do the website, you gotta be like, oh, nope, didn't do it right the first time. You gotta do the pitch, you gotta do it afraid and scared. And then go back, take notes, assess, and be like, okay, how can I get better? Is this what I really need to do? God, what else should I be doing? Should I even be doing this? With that, you get clear direction. Uh-oh. Y'all didn't want to kiss. When you get it wrong, you get better instruction of where you're supposed to go, right? God's a kind, kind God. He's a merciful God. He's willing to come and tell you, like, my daughter, you uh uh, you you out in these streets, you reel it back in, reel it back in, come back. You too far. When you're getting it wrong, you're actually learning. Uh-oh. Y'all didn't want to get uh-oh. When you get it wrong, you learn. You learn what not to do, right? You have growth. Like, remember when y'all used to get in trouble? Oh, wait, remember when you used to do something and your mom, okay, I'm I'm gonna tell her my whole self, I love you, mom. But when they would have like the switch or the phone cord or the belt, and you knew really fast that you weren't supposed to do that. Now, I'm not saying that God will bring out the switch. I'm not trying to make that type of association with God. But when you get it wrong, you understand and you pick it, you pick yourself back up. You learn from what you did. What was it? I have so many lessons that I know now. I have experience now. I have wisdom and counsel to give you guys now because I did it. I did it. I took that bad deal. I took that deal because of money. I took that deal because I wasn't in prayer. I took that deal uh because I wasn't praying and I wasn't fasting. Um, I did my business a certain way by myself because I thought that I by myself, I was I was more trusted. Um I could trust myself. Um, I could count on myself. I didn't need anybody else. Um I stuck with people longer than I shouldn't have stuck with them. I believed people for what they said. I didn't get a chance. I didn't go before the father and ask the person if this was a destiny helper, right? Like I spent my money um too quickly in one season. I didn't Sabbath. I didn't take a month off. I didn't say no. I allowed people to take over my schedule and my boundaries. I allowed myself to be so tired and weak that I could not do anything else. I have those lessons from my first business to go into my second business to say, oh, we're not doing that again. That took me 12, 12 years to learn, you guys. Take your time. Take your time and be okay with getting it wrong. Trust that God is with you every step of the way, and he's going to use even your mistakes to guide you into the right direction, right? We think of everything works together for the good of those who love the Lord and called according to his purpose. This too. This too, that mistake, that issue, that uh bad partnership, that person that portrays you, that person that you prayed about, that you thought that they were going to be your business partner, and they actually um they were a backstabber and they smiled in your face. And then all the time they want to take your place. I'm sorry, I could not not sing the rest of the line, you guys. They are behind you. Like, and you're like, but God, I I thought, and through that mistake and through that observation and through that trusting of God and having faith in God, you realize different things. Your faith gets stronger, your trusting, your intimacy with God gets stronger. You walk in a different way, you walk with a different purpose, you walk with a different mindset, you walk with a different confidence, you walk with a different power, authority, and dominion of what you're supposed to be called to. You walk with different focus and your eyes are like this, right? You don't look to the left and to the right, you don't compare yourself, right? You like there's just so much. When you allow yourself to get it wrong, you're actually allowing God to be right. I brought tissue this time because I've just been getting so emotional for whatever reason. And I'm just like, oh, okay, God, like in this season where I didn't think that all of my mistakes would count for anything, you're using them also for my good. So I want you to know like, if you got it wrong the first time, if you try to start the business and you put it down and you feel condemning right now, you feel overwhelmed, you feel like, oh my gosh, God, I feel like I'm not listening to you. Um, be okay to pick it back up because God is using that too, so that you understand. I I've actually with this podcast, I've been very vocal with that, where there's been seasons I've put it down and I'm like, I ain't got nothing to say. I there's nothing else for me here. And I've had to repent and I've had to turn and I had to come here publicly and say, I'm sorry, Lord, that I sorry, y'all, that I put this down uh for words and wisdom that God has given me, even when it doesn't look the way that it's supposed to, I'm out of the will of God because I'm not obeying God of what he's called me to do. And God has put something in you as a business owner, as an entrepreneur, as a mom, as a father. We're not even just talking about uh things that look like business, things in your place, in your space of home, um, whatever position, whatever title God has given you. When you put that thing down, you're outside of the will of God because you're not obeying what he's called you to be. And so when we're we're when we're walking around and we're filling this void of not feeling God near us or feeling our purpose or whatnot, but that thing that God has been calling you to, you've been ignoring, that's the thing that you step into, that you stop filling that void. That void, though, comes with a heavy cost. It comes with discipline, it comes with consistency, it comes with submitting yourself under his will, but that's what you were made for. When he saw that you were made wonderfully, wonderfully complex in your mother's womb from the very beginning when he established the heavens and the earth. And so what I want to say to you is take your time, be okay with getting it wrong. And then the last thing I'm gonna say is when you limit what you think you can do, you actually limit what God can do through you. I learned this so deep this year. There have been so many things that I've noticed that the more that I shrink back and I tell God, I can't do this, I can't do this. Me, I can't do this because I don't have the experience. Um, I'm starting to, I start relying on my own strength in that season. I start being like, I can't do it because I'm not smart enough. I don't have the education, I don't have the PhD, I don't have the team, I don't have the systems, I don't have the resources, I don't have the clothes, I don't have the business acumen, I don't have the speech, I don't have the confidence, I don't have the whatever. Fill in your blank. What is your I can't do this? Drop it in the comments. I want to, what is your I can't do this statement? I know that sounds radical. You're gonna be like, what? What is your I can't do this statement? What is what do you feel most insecure about? And I first off, thank you for your vulnerability for anyone that decides to drop it in the chat because I feel like this is where we start being bold. This is where we start braving out into our faith to say, God, this is how I feel. I can't. I'm sure that there's other people in the chat that are gonna resonate and be like, girl, that's me too. I don't think I can do this because of XYZ. What I want us to do, though, is to embrace the comments, right? Start praying for that brother or that sister that you see. And you say, Oh, okay, father, I see that we have something in common. I see that my insecurity isn't only by myself. I see that my brother uh Terrell over here is struggling with the same thing. Pray for one another, right? When we confess our sins to one another, right? Is that what we do? That's what scripture says, right? Let's, if we're gonna be about this word, let's let's be about this word. Let's live out this word. And so when you put your vulnerability to say, that's me, Lord, me, Lord, please, standing in the need of prayer for vulnerability. And if I could be honest, insecurity is a big one of mine. God, I can't do this. It's just little old me. I don't think I have that much confidence. I don't think that I belong in the spaces that I am. And that comes from years and years of having habits and things that have uh changed and molded me and that have become strongholds, but we have to break those strongholds and those mindsets and be transformed by what God has said about you. And so when I think about what has God said about me, he said I'm a communicator. He says that I'm a woman of God, he says that I'm fervent. He says that I'm um I'm blessed. And I'm not using just things that are ethereal, that it could be empty promises. I'm saying what God has told me. He says that I'm a serial entrepreneur. Okay, watch me, watch me go forward, right? Like I won't despise the small beginnings. It might be for a future time, but God, you've called me a serial entrepreneur. You you're allowing space. You've called me wise, you called me big, bold, and having faith. Okay, let me walk into that, God. In all things, let me trust you. Little by little, little by little. But when you say I can't do this because you don't have experience, you start relying on your own strength, not trusting in God to finish his work in you. And sometimes God calls us into things that we feel that are way beyond our capacity, things that we can't even imagine or that we think that we're qualified for. But there, here's the truth: God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the call, right? We all hear that. We've heard that. We know this, but why don't we believe it? Why don't we believe that that statement, when we see other people, when we see other influencers, when we see other pastors or other people that are hosting a podcast, to say, God, you've qualified them, but you don't qualify me. I want you to take that into prayer this week. Because I think that there's something important when when we when we have all of these promises and things in the church that we recite, um, but we don't believe in, that there's something, there's a greater issue of why we don't believe it. And I'm not gonna give power to the enemy in this season. I think that there's something greater that we need to assess while sitting um and taking time with the Lord of reflection. When you have that hesitation or that doubt, that's when we start praying. Prayer makes all of the difference. That is quintessential. If you do nothing else for your business, let me let me challenge you. 30 days you start your business. Pray 30 days. Whether you're a new business owner, you're just starting, you're in your first year, you're in your seventh year, you're in your 12th year, you're a serial entrepreneur. Pray, pray for 30 days, your business consistently. Say, Lord, hell, Holy Spirit, I welcome you into this place, I welcome you into this dwelling place. Tell me how you want me to pray for my business in this season. I said something different, right? Some of y'all thought I was gonna say, God, show me how to get these five or six figures or these people. God, show me how you want me to pray for for or pray for my business in this season. What people do you need to be yoked with? What people at that networking event are you gonna come into contact with that whose souls need to be saved? You guys, do you guys realize if the if the world ended tomorrow, right? After this podcast, and you got in connection with someone and all you saw was their pocketbook. You didn't see their soul, and you thought they were the dopest human being, right? These aren't these crunchy people that you don't really want to talk with, right? You don't want their number. This is someone that's super dope. You're like, oh my gosh, yeah, cool. And you tell them about your faith-based business, and they're like, Yeah, Jesus, yeah, whoa, like, but you never got a chance to like ask them, like, do you really know God? Maybe the goal is for you to be praying for that the light, like that's foundationally what I always think about. Like, okay, God, you put me in this room, in this place. Which one of your kids needs Jesus today? I mean, I need Jesus every day, but which person are you calling me to speak to? And it's not about money at all. I we'll we'll talk about money. We will. Giving, money, pricing, all of those things. But right now we're setting down foundational business principles that are going to be massive when it comes to sustaining your business. We don't want a business that's in one year, two years, three years. When I think about kingdompreneurs, I think about people that have long-lasting businesses. I think about the scripture that says light shines in the darkness for the godly, for they are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Um, they lend uh uh money generously. We want to be a business that is sustainable for the kingdom of God. If you want to be any other type of business, you might as well just go back to corporate. You really should. Um, but I say that with love. I don't say that out of hatred. When when Paul talks about him having to talk to people with milk versus meat in one season, I think that that's super uh sometimes we can't receive it in this season because we're not mature enough. And maybe you writing the vision is for a future time. It's for a future. Write down the vision, write down the business, write down what God has told you. You might not be mature right now. And it might take you just getting them to the secret place, it might get for a whole year fasting. Maybe it's you just reading the word so that you can be prepared for next year. And nobody's gonna tell you that. But I love you enough to say don't start this without trying to finish it with God. And so when going back to this idea of um limiting God um and limiting what God can do actually through you, I kind of want to share this because God uh God spoke so instrumental to me about those unqualified moments where God shows up the most and really kind of embracing the people and the opportunity God puts in your influence. And so this year God spoke to me and He said, He said, Stop avoiding the people and the things I've put in your influence. That's first thing. Oof. Second thing, for this one particular project that's coming up next year for me, um, they've called me to do something outside of my scope, outside of my insight, outside of my knowledge. And they said, Hey, you we like you. Would you consider taking on this position and role as an upgrade to what you did before? And you know the words that came out of my mouth, you guys? I was like, y'all know I don't, I don't really do that, right? Like, you know my background, you know my expertise, yeah, yeah, yeah, we know. But we we really think that you would be a great fit. And I was like, let me think about it. And I was like, God, I'm not gonna do this. Like, I I'm not, I don't, this ain't me. I don't know anything about it. Would be like if someone was like, hey, you're uh you're a podcaster. I want you to teach this math class. I'm sorry, God. Um, I only math I know is is iPhone. What's two plus two? I know what two plus two is, y'all, but you know how we've become a little, a little, uh, a little numb in our our learning. I'm sorry, God, I can't be a mathematician. You want me to do what? And so God told me, hit me with this. He goes, Everything I've asked you to do can be learned and mastered. And so he says, learn this before 2026. And so, you know what my instruction and my obedience is? Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. And so, you know what my practice and my practical, tactical takeaway is? All of 25, I need to make it a goal to continue to learn this character, to learn this task, to learn this emperor. Now, God's gonna be with me. He's gonna give me favor, right? But what I never want us to do is to thinking that our prayers, uh, our uh, how do I want to say this, Lord? Um, our prayers are working on behalf of us not being prepared. So there is a certain level of preparation that is required when you're stepping into places, when it's when you're being a podcaster, when you're looking to be a communicator, you need to take the class, you need to take the toastmasters, you need to read the books, you need to highlight, you need to make the time, you need to be in spaces. All of that is true. There needs some repetition. Like you just not go walk in here with a prayer, uh, a hope and a prayer. Sometimes it does work like that. Sometimes you most times you need to be preparing. Take the class, take get on, take a free class, go to score. Score. Score has so many classes, you guys. Get the business mentor. Score also has free business mentors, and be with those people and listen to their wisdom and counsel, and take it at not full value, but take it and apply it. Apply what you learn. It's like cooking. Apply the knowledge that you learned so that you can start becoming a good cooker, and then it just becomes innate to you, your character, who you are. When I heard those two things that God has told me, those words hit me so hard, y'all. I had been avoiding certain opportunities and people because I did not feel prepared or I didn't think I had the skills. But God, but God, my God, um, is showing me that everything he has placed before me, whether it's a relationship, it's a business venture, it is meant to be embraced and learned from. And even if they don't turn out to be what I want them to be, my obedience is setting me up for other doors and opportunities to open for his goodness. Thinking about that, thinking about, okay, God has placed certain opportunities and it might not go the way you want to. You might be a keynote speaker and you'd be like, I'm gonna get out here and kill it. I'm about to be open up other doors, I'm about to be on Oprah's next whatever, I'm gonna be at this next conference, and it doesn't work that way. Know that it is setting you up because of your obedience and your preparation for whatever season, that that too can work together for the good of those who love the Lord and call it according to his purpose. And so we have to stop limiting our ideals and the opportunities of what God has given us. And when we think that it's failed, I have failed so many times, y'all, and I have called myself out. And people were like, You didn't fail. And I'm like, um, you need to get your eyes checked. Because I straight up failed. Like, it's it's so, it's so blatant. And they're like, No, you didn't. But those opportunities set you up for what God is calling you into the season. So I want you to take the opportunities that God is giving you, even if they scare you, that you don't shy away from people because he's placed them in your life to help you grow. There's so much to be gained when you stop running and you start leaning into God. Lean into God. Think of him like right here next to you, right? And you just like lean into the Father. Everything you need to succeed, you can learn. And if you don't learn it in the physical, you learn it through experience, you learn it through sitting with God, you learn it through being in meditation and in prayer with God, and you trust God to give you the wisdom and strength to step into your calling boldly, no matter where you are today. And so the key here is that we keep moving forward, even when you don't feel like you have all the answers, and you trust God. We trust God, say it with me. We trust God to guide us, and we remember that his plan is bigger than anything that we can ever imagine. Jesus, that was a lot. That was a lot, and I want to encourage you, keep going, entrepreneur. I'm counting on you. All of heaven is counting on you. We rejoicing. If you are um, if you're a new entrepreneur, I want to hear from you. Um, DM us, um, drop it in the comment. Um, what what are you struggling with in this season? Really? Like I talked about vulnerability vulnerability, my anxiousness in this season of feeling like I don't have the plan and the direction of what God is calling me to do. But I really want to hear from you. Like, what is what's the holdup? What's holding you back? What do you feel like's blocking you? What do you feel like is frustrating your plans of you going forward? Because what I'm going to do, because I'm about that life. If you don't know anything about this podcast, I hope in the name of Jesus that you know that I am a praying person and I will pray for you. I will put you on my note card and I will put you in my prayer closet, and I will pray and intercede that all of the businesses that God has ordained and his will will come to pass and that he continues. So if you are one of them, drop some prayer hands in the chat. If you need to be prayed for and and what you're struggling for, right? So prayer hands and just be like, I'm struggling with starting, I'm struggling with finances, I'm struggling with direction. Whatever it is, drop it in the chat. Okay. We got this. I believe in you. God believes in you more importantly. And that's and that's all that we trust in. And so before we wrap up, before we jump into prayer, I want to encourage you guys, if you're an entrepreneur, obviously, um, to drop that. Um, it, you know, it doesn't have to be perfect. It just needs to be bold. And bold is what? Doing something that you've never done before. And letting God trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean that into your own understanding and all of your ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct her past, right? So if you found today's episode helpful, don't forget to subscribe so you can get more encouragement every single week. And if you're watching on YouTube, YouTube, YouTube, hit that button, y'all. Share with a friend who might need some direction today. You might know someone that's trying to start an entrepreneur business. We do this by sharing knowledge, sharing wisdom. Leave us a comment below. Um, and yeah, let's let's jump into prayer. So, dear Heavenly Father, God, I thank you for the ability of your ministry and your wisdom and your counsel, God. I pray, Lord, that the words um that were used through me encourage people to start, to know that the direction is found in you, Lord, that praying with you in the secret place, Lord, is where they get guidance, where they get strategy, where they get blueprint, where they um get confidence, Lord, to move forward, Lord, Lord, we cancel the lies of the enemy, Lord, that would cause comparison, Lord, that would cause a blockage, Lord, that would call analysis, paralysis, God. Anything, Lord, that would cause confusion and even anxiety, Lord, in the name of Jesus, Lord. We pray that your will be done here on earth, Lord, as you call new entrepreneurs into um spaces and places, God, that are dark, God, that you allow them to be the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden, God, that they be salt of the earth, God, and that they confess and that they're profound in proclaiming your word, God, that we know that we do this business for your glory, that we go into places, Lord, praying for souls, Lord, that need to be captured, Lord. That Lord, that we're going and we're spreading the gospel using um just the medium, God, just using the portal of being an entrepreneur, God, that in all that we do, God, that we comfort, um, that we comfort one another, that we edify one another, Lord, um, and that we come together in community, Lord, to give your name glory and honor, God. Lord, I pray that this blesses people. I pray, Lord, that your um wisdom drop down like fresh manna from the sky, Lord, just helping each person, Lord, that feels frustrated in this season, God. Uh, we pray, Lord, that um finances will be blessed. Streams of income will obviously come, Lord, and that your favor and doors will open, God. But first, Lord, we ask, Lord, that the foundations and the principles of your kingdom be established in each one of us as CEOs, um, co founders, Lord, and as uh doing business on this earth for your kingdom. And so in your son's precious name, Jesus, we pray. Amen. This episode is brought to you in partnership with Sozo Digital Media.
